🫏 The deposit

Booking a hike takes a $45 deposit per person — that's what reserves your spot on the calendar. The remaining balance is charged automatically the morning before your hike.

📅 If you need to cancel

• ✅14+ days notice: Your deposit is fully refunded. No hard feelings — the donkeys will miss you, though.
• ⚠️Less than 14 days, but at least 24 hours notice:Your deposit isn't refundable, but you won't be charged the remaining balance.
• ❌Less than 24 hours notice (including no-shows): The remaining balance will still be charged, same as if you'd hiked. Our donkeys still showed up for you!

🔄 Need to reschedule instead?

No problem — hikes can be rescheduled with at least 14 days notice. Just reach out and we'll get you and your new donkey buddy on the calendar.

⛈️ If we have to cancel (severe weather)

Colorado weather does what it wants, and donkeys don't love thunderstorms any more than you do. If CRATES Colorado needs to cancel your hike for severe weather, we'll make that call no less than 2 hours before your hike time, and you'll receive a full refund — deposit and all.
